Farming Simulator 22: Buy and Repair Used Vehicle
Expanding your farm can be quite expensive – especially when it comes to your fleet of vehicles. Sure, you could lease them and continuously pay a fee, or get a loan from the bank. Those are possibilities, although not the most efficient ones. Or, you pay the local dealer a frequent visit and check the machines on sale!
Agricultural machines for a discount
Over 400 machines and tools are available in Farming Simulator 22, and the more powerful and versatile they get, the more money they cost. If the machine of your dreams is out of your financial reach, you have to earn it. The used vehicle sale section of your local dealer might be a welcome shortcut.
There’s a rotating set of machines available for a discount. If you see the tractor of your dreams, for example, and have the cash already in your bank account, you should think quickly. Looking for a large tractor with 500 hp? It’s on sale for 50% off? It’s basically your birthday, right?
What a bargain! What’s the catch?
It might not surprise you, but buying used vehicles will have some tiny drawbacks you should keep in mind: Depending on the size of the discount, they might need a certain amount of repair, and their performance will be affected.
A used tractor will not be as powerful as its brand-new counterpart. You have to invest money again, and repair it. Also, a used vehicle, even when repaired, will wear off quicker again than any brand-new vehicle – increasing the upkeep.
Get a new paint job, too!
All that is not even accounting for the paintwork damage that comes with used vehicles: Repairing and keeping the varnish vibrant are two separate things, now! Even a fully repaired machine requires a new coating to look shiny again!
So, are used vehicles worth their money?
Sure! Even with all those tiny little drawbacks in mind – a good deal is still a good deal, and buying second-hand machinery might still save you time and money.
The broader working-width of your new but used cultivator, for example, compensates for the lower working-speed due to its condition without further repair. And, as soon as you get it back up to speed, you’ll get even more for the low amount of money you paid in the first place.
