The looks of this model is very nicely done. Just wish there were more color choices. The performance of this 1970 Boss 429 needs major improvements. The brakes feel spongy at best and don’t hold like they should. The gear shift hesitates going from forward to reverse. The acceleration is horrible, it should accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in only 4.4 seconds and it should have a top speed of at the very least of 130 mph. A good friend of mine owned the actual 1968 Boss 429 prototype of this car and this is how it performed; it had all the above mentioned performance and 760 pounds of torque at the rear wheels. Ford starting working on the Boss 429 Mustang in 1968. The 1969 model was the first year they were made available to the public from the factory.
